Hotel New York has a beautiful history. After it was built, many ships set sail from these docks. Since the opening as a hotel and restaurant, Hotel New York thrived to eventually become a well-known name in the region and the nation.
Souvenir shop
The souvenir shop is located at the restaurant entrance. This is the place for unique souvenirs of your stsy at Hotel New York: from linens to tompouce, from postcards to crockery and from T-shirts to toys.
Lobby
Hotel New York has a unique bookshop! In the lobby you will find this bookshop, which is named Van Gennep. The bookshop sells informative, funny, special travel, children’s and cookbooks. You will also find postcards and toiletries for forgetful travellers in the lobby.
With around 50 docks in Rotterdam and surrounding areas, Watertaxi Rotterdam offers easy and reliable water transport. In addition, a water taxi ride is a spectacular experience for who Rotterdam wants to experience from the river.

Hotel New York hotel porters welcome you to the former headquarters of the Holland America Line. They help the guests with their suitcases, guide people to the room and tell enthusiastically about their passion; Hotel New York.
Arie Broere
Arie is 62 years old and is married to Marjan. “I am proud to receive our guests with a smile and to give them some personal attention. I am happy to assist them with my colleagues.”
Michel Boehlé
Michel is 59 years old, married to Irene and has two children and two stepchildren. Since his position as a Hotel Porter, he has plenty of contact with the guests. “I am not only telling stories to our guests, but guests also tell me stories.”
Nico Prins
Nico is 62 years old and a true Rotterdammer. Nico has been a storyteller for 24 years, but thought that this should be left to the young people. ” The most beautiful place Hotel New York has, is room 407 with the roof terrace!”
Berry is 59 years old, has two children and lives in Rotterdam. Berry is our newest hotel porter and works since July at Hotel New York. From the beginning, Berry has fallen in love with his job: “The best thing about this job is dealing with the guests, being helpful and informative.”
The Hotel New York webcam shows you everything: the beautiful sunset, the arrival / departure of the cruise ships, dynamic water traffic on the Meuse and above all the beautiful view of Rotterdam. 24 hours a day and 7 days a week this is the view of the hotel. The view is even more beautiful if you come by yourself.
