NY Basement and live music belong together! That’s why, every week (from September untill May), we will organise live music on Sunday afternoon. Musicians will take you into the world of music. Enjoy this swinging, compelling and atmospheric live music from 2:00 pm till 5:30 pm.

Sunday Live! Music Lunch

During this lunch we serve a special menu for € 29.50 per person. This consists of a bite in advance, followed by 3 exciting dishes. After this there is always the possibility to enjoy a dessert, or perhaps a cocktail at our bar!

A la Carte

NY Basement is only open for lunch on Sundays. It is possible to order our dishes from the menu. From 1.30 pm you are more than welcome in the basement of Hotel New York.

Swing Twice consists of 5 experienced jazz musicians: a singer, sax, piano, bass and drums.  They bring a joyful mix of well-known jazz with a touch of pop. You can listen to songs by jazz icons Randy Crawford, Aretha Franklin and Jane Monheit, but also songs from Stevie Wonder, Ray Charles and Van Morrison.

The Big Swingers was founded after the idea of ​​multi-instrumentalist James Ludlam and singer Eva van der Zanden. The band members have previously played in acts such as Crazy Pianos, Rowwen Hèze, De Coronas and Kane. The Big Swingers take you on a journey back in time; where your favorite hits are played, but just a little bit differently.

Superstar Acoustic band plays the best hits of today and the biggest hits of the time. This trio consisting of singer Renee Koper, guitarist Guido Schaake, and drummer Patrick de Wilde play surprisingly acoustic performances of your favorite pop songs.

Breeze is a musical quartet consisting of vocals (Glenda), guitar (Lucas), double bass (Ron) and drums / cajon (Gerard) and brings you various recognizable and surprising hits in their own style. A mix of swing, gipsy, country, jazz, blues and / or beautiful ballads. A musical journey through time with hits from the past to the present from artists such as The Beatles, Abba, Elvis Presley, Dolly Parton, Queen to Nirvana, Britney Spears, Lady Gaga, Avicii, Sam Smith and many others.

Since their joint study at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, they share the passion for the fantastic “American Songbook”. A passion that they like to share with their audience.

Superstar Jazz band are Guido Schaake on guitar, Remus Aussen on double bass and Patrick de Wilde on percussion. They play an atmospheric mix with well-known repertoire from lazy pop songs to swinging jazz and steaming Rock & Roll, but this time the Christmas edition. All kinds of names will come by; from Benson, Sting, Joel and Wonder to Monk, Sinatra, Berry & Presley.

Frank In Person (F.I.P.), The Dutch Frank (yes, his real name is Frank!), Brings an impressive tribute to Frank Sinatra, including “the looks and the moves”.
